After a successful career in finance, Rick turned to writing fiction in 2004. Years of bare-knuckles workshopping began with short stories. By 2007 this training produced awards and placement in numerous ezines. Sum of Many Things is a collection of his favorites, including two prize winners. 

       Seeking a wider audience, he journeyed into novels, Replacement Children being the first. His character-driven stories focus on collisions between families at opposite ends of the wealth spectrum. Imperfect members of both groups experience unusual yet plausible crises which force decisions they could never have imagined, often with unexpected consequences. Almost like real life.

      Rick and his first-and-only wife, Ann Marie, reside in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
