After a successful career in finance, Rick turned to writing fiction. Years of bare knuckles workshops began with short stories. This training produced story awards and placements in numerous ezines. Sum of Many Things is a collection of his favorites, including two prize winners.

Seeking a wider audience, he journeyed into novels, Replacement Children being the first. So far, his character-driven stories focus on collisions between families at opposite ends of the wealth spectrum. Imperfect members of both groups experience unusual yet plausible crises which force difficult decisions and unexpected consequences... Almost like real life.

Rick and his first-and-only wife, Ann Marie, reside in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
